Enterprise Reasoning Platform

Short answer

What is Enterprise Reasoning Platform? Kinnow's name for an ERP rebuilt around reasoning. It has three parts: a store for your records, AI agents that do the routine work, and a layer that works answers out from your data.

In plain words

A traditional ERP stores your records and prints reports. People still do the reading, matching and chasing. An Enterprise Reasoning Platform keeps the records but also reads them, works out what needs doing, shows its reasons, and hands the decision to a person.

It is Kinnow's own name for the category, not an industry standard. At its core are three parts: your records and documents, agents that do routine work, and answers worked out from your data. Kinnow adds conversations and learning from corrections on top.

Example

A supplier's bill arrives. The purchase order was for 500 units at ₹112 (₹56,000). The bill says 500 units at ₹118 (₹59,000).

In an older ERP, someone keys the bill and may not spot the ₹3,000 difference. With a reasoning platform, an agent matches the bill to the order and the goods receipt, flags the rate difference with its reasons, and the accountant approves or sends it back. The decision and the reason are recorded.

Why it matters

  • Less re-keying: the work of reading and matching moves from your team to the agent, so people review exceptions.
  • Reasons on record: your auditor sees why each item was approved, not only that it was.
  • One set of records: sales, stock, accounts and documents share the same customers, suppliers and items.

How Kinnow handles it

Kinnow is built this way: 49 applications in eight families on one set of records, agents for routine work, and Ask Kinnow for plain-English questions with sources. The platform page shows how the parts fit.

Nothing is filed, paid or posted without a person. Each agent is validated with each client before it works on their books.

Limit: "reasoning" here means it shows its reasons and a person decides. It does not mean the software runs your company on its own. See ERP for the plain definition of the older term.

Questions

What is Enterprise Reasoning Platform?

Kinnow's name for an ERP rebuilt around reasoning. It has three parts: a store for your records, AI agents that do the routine work, and a layer that works answers out from your data.

How is it different from a normal ERP?

It does the same job of recording sales, purchases, stock, accounts and payroll. The difference is that agents read and match the records, answers come with their sources, and a person approves anything that is filed, paid or posted.

Does it act on its own?

Nothing is filed, paid or posted without a person. Agents draft and suggest, and your team approves or sends back. Every approval and correction is recorded.
