Short answer

What does Kinnow Sign do? No per-document or per-user e-signature bills, so agreements get signed now instead of put off.

How it works

Kinnow Sign, our e-signature is built in, with unlimited e-signatures, and you can also connect an outside e-signature service. You send from the document in Documents (Vault), signers sign one after another through a private link, and one list shows what is out and who hasn't signed. Once everyone has signed, the document is locked and the signed copy is filed back.

The detail that makes it real

Unlimited e-signatures, built in: no per-envelope or per-seat charges.

  • Kinnow Sign is part of Kinnow, so sending more documents does not add a charge.

Step by step

  1. Open the document in the Vault. Find the file in Library and choose Send to sign. For an invoice, quotation or similar business document, the Sign button on the document does the same thing.
  2. Name the signers, in order. Type each signer's full name and email address, or pick from your company's authorised signatories where they are listed. Signers are asked one after another: the second person is not contacted until the first has signed.
  3. Each signer gets a private link by email. Nobody else can open that link. The signer confirms the email address the link was sent to, checks the document fingerprint on the page, and presses Sign it.
  4. You watch it in the signature list. One list shows each document, who it was sent to, when it was sent, when it was signed and its status: Awaiting signature, Signed or Cancelled. It shows how many are still waiting.
  5. The signed copy files itself. Once everyone has signed, Kinnow stamps the signatures on the PDF, adds a certificate page, locks the document and files the signed copy back in the Vault.
  6. Anyone can check it later. The signature check page takes the document reference and says whether the document is fully signed, who signed, and the fingerprint of the document that was signed. If your copy gives a different fingerprint, it is not that document.

What you see on screen

The sending happens in the Vault. The list and the provider page sit under Work together.

Questions

What is Kinnow Sign in Kinnow?

Sign leases, offer letters and other documents inside Kinnow, unlimited and built in.

What changes for the business?

No per-document or per-user e-signature bills, so agreements get signed now instead of put off.

Is it available today?

Yes, it is live.

How does the person signing prove who they are?

They get a private link by email that only they can open, and they confirm the email address it was sent to before signing. That ties the signature to an address. It is not a government-issued digital certificate.

Can a signed document be changed afterwards?

No. The document is locked once everyone has signed, and the signed copy carries a certificate page. If your copy gives a different fingerprint on the signature check page, it is not the signed document.

What happens if I send it to the wrong person?

The Send to sign form shows each signer's name and email address before you press Send it, so check them there. Signing goes in order: a later signer is not contacted until the earlier one has signed.

Where does the signed copy go?

Back into the Vault, filed by Kinnow. Some kinds of documents, such as offer letters, stay private to the governing team until someone opens them up.
