Suppliers chased to file their GST

Suppliers who haven't filed their GST get a drafted reminder; Kinnow closes it once they file.

Live in part
Short answer

What does ITC Mismatch Chaser do? Drafts the supplier reminders for stuck tax credit, so nobody writes dozens of emails by hand each month.

How it works

For mismatches a supplier can fix, such as a missing or late filing, Kinnow drafts one reminder per supplier in a shared follow-up list, never drafts the same one twice and leaves the sending to a person. After the next download from the GST portal, it re-checks and closes reminders that are resolved.

The detail that makes it real

Works from your latest GSTR-2B download; it only drafts, and a person sends.

Step by step

This is how a month runs for an accounts executive and the purchase head.

  1. Download GSTR-2B and reconcile. On the GSTR-2B reconciliation screen, pick the period and choose Download + reconcile. Each purchase bill is matched against what the portal shows.
  2. Kinnow sorts the mismatches. It picks out the ones a supplier can fix: a bill missing from GSTR-2B because the supplier has not filed, a value that differs, and an invoice the supplier uploaded late.
  3. It leaves the rest alone. Timing differences clear when the supplier files next month, and lines held in IMS are your own accept-or-reject decision, so chasing the supplier would only be noise.
  4. It drafts one reminder per supplier, by email. A supplier with a reminder already open is not chased again, so two jobs cannot message the same supplier on the same day.
  5. A person sends it. The purchase team reads the draft and copies the message into their own email. Kinnow only drafts; it does not send.
  6. The next download re-checks. Reminders whose mismatch has cleared are closed. The rest stay open.

Ask us to run this on last month's GSTR-2B and your purchase bills.

Who uses it

  • Accounts executive: runs the reconciliation after GSTR-2B is published.
  • Purchase head or buyer: reads the drafted reminders, sends them and follows up.
  • Your CA: decides what credit to claim in GSTR-3B, using the screen as the list of open questions.
