How it works
19 industries are covered. For 15 of them there is a ready-made setup you pick at sign-up (we call it an industry pack); the rest are set up with you. Kinnow then applies that industry's routines, controls, agents, reports and starter questions, without loosening any control an admin has tightened. Forms use your industry's words: a donor, not a customer; a guest, not a party. Codes, currency, tax and units are filled in for you. Bills, payments and people work in every setup.
Your industry decides which applications appear; a software company gets a light bills-and-expenses setup, with stock screens hidden but still searchable.
Step by step
- You pick your industry at sign-up. The sign-up form asks which industry you are in. The choices are the fifteen industries that have a ready-made setup. If yours is not one of them, Kinnow sets it up with you.
- Kinnow switches on the right applications. Your industry decides which applications appear. Screens you will not use are hidden from the menu but can still be found by search.
- Limits and approval routes are set. The setup creates the limits for your industry, such as an invoice value above which someone must approve, and writes the approval routes before the limits that depend on them.
- Routines, reports and starter questions arrive. You get step-by-step routines for the work your industry does, a set of reports, and starter questions for Ask Kinnow.
- Forms use your words. A trust asks about a donor, a hotel about a guest. Codes, currency, tax and units are filled in for you.
- Your own changes are respected. The setup only creates what is missing. If your admin has tightened a limit, running the setup again will not put the standard number back.
