AI Invoice Extractor agent
Reads the text of a supplier invoice and fills in the bill for you, checking that the amounts add up before anything is saved.
Validated with each clientWhat does AI Invoice Extractor replace? The work of a data-entry operator: keying in vendor invoices and bills. Reads the text of a supplier invoice and fills in the bill for you, checking that the amounts add up before anything is saved.
Shows why
Every draft comes with its reasons and how sure the agent is. If it is unsure, it only offers a suggestion.
Waits for you
It does not file, pay or post anything until a person says so.
Gets reviewed
Your approvals and corrections are recorded, so you can see how well it does on your books.
A day with AI Invoice Extractor
A typical week for a company that receives supplier bills by email and on paper.
- A supplier bill arrives. The person who would normally key it in sends the invoice text to the extractor. For a bill that came by email, the text of that email goes across with a link back to the message.
- Veil goes first. GSTIN, phone numbers, email addresses and bank details in the text are swapped for placeholders before the AI reads it. The supplier name is left in, because finding it is part of the job. The real values are put back before you see the result.
- The agent fills in the bill. It reads the invoice number, date, due date, supplier, GSTIN, subtotal, tax, total, currency and each line with quantity, rate and amount. For emailed bills it also matches the supplier to your supplier list, each line to your item codes, and reads HSN codes and the CGST, SGST and IGST split.
- Kinnow checks the arithmetic. Subtotal plus tax must equal the total. Line amounts must add up to the subtotal, give or take one paisa. The GSTIN must have the right 15-character shape. The date must be a real date. Any single amount that is zero or ₹10,00,00,000 or more is sent for review.
- You see the whole bill before anything is created. The review card shows the supplier, number, dates, every line with HSN code, the tax split, the email it came from and a yes or no for each check. Fields the agent was unsure of (below 0.85) are marked.
- One approval creates a draft bill. When you approve, a draft purchase bill is created and follows your usual bill approval. If you do not approve, no bill is created.
See a supplier bill turn into a draft entry. Send us three of your own, with names blanked if you prefer.
What it reads and what it hands back
| What it reads | What it hands back | Where it lands |
|---|---|---|
| Invoice text, pasted in or taken from the email the bill arrived in | Supplier, invoice number, date, due date, currency | Review card |
| Your supplier list and item list | Closest supplier match and an item code for each line | Review card, line by line |
| Line details: description, quantity, HSN, rate, amount | Subtotal, CGST, SGST, IGST and total | Draft purchase bill, after one approval |
| The checks it ran on its own output | A yes or no per check, and a mark on fields it was unsure of | Review card, before you decide |
What a person decides
Nothing is filed, paid or posted without a person. For supplier bills that means:
- You approve each bill. The approval is on the whole bill, not on a headline figure. A bill nobody approves is never created.
- You decide what to do with doubtful fields. Fields below 0.85 confidence, and any that fail a check, are marked so you correct them or leave the bill alone.
- Your usual controls still apply. The draft bill goes through your normal bill approval and matching, as if a clerk had keyed it.
- It never does these things. It does not pay a supplier, post to the ledger or file anything, and it does not create a bill without your approval.
Ask Kinnow about this
Ask Kinnow shows its source and cost before it runs, and says so when a question is outside the records it can read. We confirm which of these work on your data in the demo.
| You could ask | The answer shows |
|---|---|
| Which emailed supplier bills are waiting for review? | The bills the extractor has read and that are waiting for approval, with the email each came from. |
| Which fields did the extractor mark as unsure on this bill? | The fields below 0.85 confidence on that bill, so you know where to look first. |
| Which supplier bills this month had totals that did not add up? | The bills where a check failed, with the figures that disagreed. |
Ask us to run your own supplier bills through it and show you the review card.

Questions
What does the AI Invoice Extractor agent do?
Reads the text of a supplier invoice and fills in the bill for you, checking that the amounts add up before anything is saved.
Does AI Invoice Extractor act on its own?
No. AI Invoice Extractor reads the invoice and hands back the bill fields it found, with its reasons and how sure it is, and a person approves before anything is posted, filed, sent or paid.
Does AI Invoice Extractor learn?
Yes. Each time you approve or reject a bill it filled in, Kinnow records it against how sure the agent said it was, so you can see how it is doing on your books. Your corrections are kept as feedback.
How is it paid for?
It is part of your agent pack, and there is no charge per user.
Does it read the GST split on each line?
For emailed bills it reads HSN codes and the CGST, SGST and IGST amounts, and shows them on the review card for you to check against the invoice.
Can a supplier hide instructions inside an invoice to trick the AI?
Kinnow scans the invoice text for wording that tries to give the AI orders and refuses to send text that looks like it. Whatever is read still waits for your approval.

Close Checklist
Runs the twelve period-close checks, helps clear the ones holding up the close and drafts the commentary on variances. A person confirms the close.
AccountBank Reconciler
Matches bank lines to receipts ahead of time and shows why it matched each one. Lines it is unsure about come up as suggestions only and are never committed on their own.
AccountDouble-entry validator
Stops any journal entry that does not balance, or that uses a ledger that is not valid, before it can be posted.
AccountPeriod-close gate
Checks whether the books are ready to close, including rules your company has written itself, before a period can be locked.
