Report problems; only you confirm the fix
Anyone can report a problem in seconds, free, and only the reporter can confirm it's fixed.
LiveWhat does Report an issue do? You're never told an issue is fixed when it isn't, and you don't need a founder's phone number to be heard.
How it works
Anyone can file a report and gets a reference number and a jargon-free status page. Reports go into Kinnow's own product plan, and duplicates are merged so everyone affected hears back together. A release only moves a report to 'ready for you to check'. It closes when the reporter confirms; 'still broken' sends it back.
Insider words like 'triage', 'backlog', 'sprint' and 'ticket' never appear in what reporters see, and an automatic check keeps it that way.
Step by step
- Anyone with access opens "Report an issue" from the support menu. If you see "You can't report an issue here", ask whoever set up your account to give you access.
- Describe it in one line. Then choose what sort of thing it is and how much it is holding you up. You can add what you were doing, what you expected and what you saw instead, and your name.
- Add a screenshot if it helps. Choose a file or paste one straight in with Ctrl+V. Images and PDFs are accepted.
- You get a reference number. The report appears in "My reports", where you follow it.
- The Kinnow team looks after it. If someone else reported the same thing, yours is tracked with theirs and you are told at the same time.
- You confirm the fix. When a change is released, the report waits for you with "Please check this". You answer "Yes, it's fixed" or "No, it's still wrong", with a note if you wish. Only your answer closes it.
Ask us how reports from your team would reach us and how you would follow them.
What you see on screen
| Screen | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Report an issue | A short form: one line, the sort of thing, how much it holds you up, and optional detail and screenshots. It says no AI is used and it costs nothing. |
| My reports | Every report you have raised, the last update on each, and a heading when reports are waiting on you. |
| One report | What you were doing, what you expected, what you saw, the screen it happened on, "What's happened so far", and messages "From Kinnow". |
| Please check this | Two buttons, "Yes, it's fixed" and "No, it's still wrong", and a box for a note. |
Who uses it
- Anyone on your team: an accountant who sees an empty invoice list, a store manager who cannot print a bill.
- The administrator who set up your account: gives people access to the form and can see what the team has reported.
