Brand Guardian agent
Checks the text of your campaign copy against your brand rules before it is approved. Copy that comes out off brand cannot be approved until it is changed.
Validated with each clientWhat does Brand Guardian replace? The work of a marketing executive: checking each asset against your brand rules. Checks the text of your campaign copy against your brand rules before it is approved. Copy that comes out off brand cannot be approved until it is changed.
Shows why
Every draft comes with its reasons and how sure the agent is. If it is unsure, it only offers a suggestion.
Waits for you
It does not file, pay or post anything until a person says so.
Gets reviewed
Your approvals and corrections are recorded, so you can see how well it does on your books.
A day with Brand Guardian
Picture a marketing executive at a diagnostics chain, writing a health-check offer for 8,000 past patients.
- You set your brand rules once. Words your business avoids, tones to steer away from, and any disclaimer your regulator needs on every message.
- Someone drafts the copy. The executive writes the offer in Marketing campaigns (Reach), the marketing application.
- The check runs before approval. Kinnow reads the text against your rules and against a fixed list of claims that cannot be backed up, such as "guaranteed" or "risk-free".
- The result is shown with reasons. A score from 0 to 100 (higher is worse), a band of on brand, needs review or off brand, and each finding with the rule that fired.
- Off brand stops the campaign. An off-brand result blocks approval. The executive edits the copy and checks again. A needs-review result is flagged for a person to look at.
- The approver signs off. Consent is checked separately before any send.
What it reads and what it hands back
| What it reads | What it hands back | Where it lands |
|---|---|---|
| The text of the campaign copy | A score, a band and a list of findings | Shown to the person approving the campaign |
| Your brand rules: banned words, tone to avoid, a required disclaimer | A finding when a banned word appears or the disclaimer is missing | Marked as your own rule, so you know you can edit it |
| Kinnow's fixed list of claims that cannot be evidenced | A finding that cannot be switched off | Marked as a Kinnow rule, not yours |

What a person decides
Nothing is filed, paid or posted without a person. You decide the rules, and a person decides the campaign.
- You set the words. Your own banned words, tone and disclaimer are yours to edit. The fixed list of unsupported claims is not, so nobody can switch it off by editing a tone guide.
- A person approves. A clean result lets the campaign be approved; it does not approve it.
- It never rewrites your copy. It tells you which rule fired and leaves the writing to you.
Ask Kinnow about this
Ask Kinnow answers from your own records and shows its source and cost before it runs. What you get back depends on what has been recorded.
| You might ask | What the answer shows |
|---|---|
| Which campaigns were stopped for brand reasons this quarter? | The campaigns and the rule that fired on each. |
| Which brand rules do we trip most often? | The rules and how many drafts tripped each. |
| Does this draft carry our required disclaimer? | A yes or no for the draft, and the missing line if it is not there. |
Ask us to load your brand rules and test them on your last three campaigns.
Works with
- Reach: campaigns, audiences and the approval step where this check sits
- Brand and claims check before copy ships: the same check described as a feature
- Marketing that cannot break consent law: the consent check that follows
- Consent and Deliverability Gate: blocks a send without valid consent
Questions
What does the Brand Guardian agent do?
Checks the text of your campaign copy against your brand rules before it is approved. Copy that comes out off brand cannot be approved until it is changed.
Does Brand Guardian act on its own?
No. Brand Guardian checks the text of your campaign copy against your brand rules and tells you which rule fired, and a person approves before anything is posted, filed, sent or paid.
Does Brand Guardian learn?
Yes. Each time you approve or reject a brand check, Kinnow records it against how sure the agent said it was, so you can see how it is doing on your books. Your corrections are kept as feedback.
How is it paid for?
It is part of your agent pack, and there is no charge per user.
Can I add my own banned words?
Yes. Your banned words, the tone you avoid and a required disclaimer are your own brand rules. The fixed list of unsupported claims cannot be switched off.
Does a clean result mean my copy is on brand?
No. It means none of the rules fired. A person still reads and approves the copy.
