Marketing that stays within consent law
Every email, WhatsApp and SMS sent from Marketing campaigns (Reach) passes one consent check, and is blocked when valid consent is missing.
Live in partWhat does Consent & Deliverability gate do? Send marketing from India, the live edition, with consent checked on every message, and keep your sender reputation healthy.
How it works
Consent is stored per channel, address and purpose, with service messages kept apart from marketing. Each send applies the strictest relevant country's rules; blocked messages are never sent or billed. Kinnow follows WhatsApp's 24-hour rule, India's SMS template registration and gradual email sender warm-up. When two contacts are merged, the stricter consent wins, and an unsubscribe takes effect at once.
Merging contacts never re-subscribes anyone; the merged contact keeps the strictest consent recorded.
Step by step
- Record consent where it is given. Each person's consent is stored against the channel (email, WhatsApp or SMS), the address and the purpose. A service message, such as an invoice or a booking confirmation, is kept apart from marketing. Permission for one does not count as permission for the other.
- A campaign or a routine step wants to send. Every send goes through one check. There is no other way to send from Reach.
- The check applies the right country's rule. India, the live edition, and the UAE need clear opt-in before marketing. The check also carries the rules for the UK, the EU, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, the US and Canada. The check also carries the rules for the UK, the EU, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, the US and Canada. If the contact's country is not known, the strictest rule is used.
- It also checks the channel's own rules. WhatsApp allows a free-form reply only within 24 hours of the customer's last message, and a pre-approved template otherwise. A new sending domain builds up its daily volume gradually. Addresses that bounced for good, or were reported as spam, are skipped. Quiet hours hold a send until they end.
- A blocked message is not sent. It is recorded as blocked with the reason. It is not sent and not billed, and a campaign whose every send is blocked simply does not advance.
- An unsubscribe takes effect at once. Withdrawing consent stops the next send. When two contacts are merged, the stricter consent wins, so merging never re-subscribes anyone.

What you see on screen
These are the screens under Reach.
| Screen or button | What it shows or does |
|---|---|
| Consent and Preferences | The record of consent by Channel, Address, Scope and Status. A box checks whether an address can be contacted, and buttons record or withdraw consent. |
| Prove somebody agreed | Type an email or phone number to see the record as it stood at the time, including the exact wording the person was shown. For one person's request, name them; a full export would disclose everyone. |
| Deliverability | Addresses Kinnow must not send to, with the reason: mailbox does not exist, reported as spam, blocked by hand, or brought in from before. A Put back button needs a reason, which is kept on the record. |
| Bring a suppression list across | For businesses moving from another email provider: paste in the addresses that bounced or complained, so they do not damage your sending here. |
| Where your provider reports bounces | The address your email provider posts delivery results to. Without it, bounces reach the list only if someone types them in. |
| When you send | Quiet hours. A step that falls inside them waits until they end, judged on your business's clock. |
Who uses it
| Who | When |
|---|---|
| Marketing manager | Builds campaigns and sees which contacts were blocked and why. |
| Sales or customer success lead | Checks whether a person can be contacted before a follow-up. |
| Compliance or data protection owner | Pulls the consent record when a regulator or a customer asks. |
| IT or marketing operations | Connects the email provider's bounce reports and manages blocked addresses. |

Questions
What is Consent & Deliverability gate in Kinnow?
Every email, WhatsApp and SMS sent from Reach passes one consent check, and is blocked when valid consent is missing.
What changes for the business?
Send marketing from India, the live edition, with consent checked on every message, and keep your sender reputation healthy.
Is it available today?
It is live in part: the core is built and parts are completing with early customers.
What is the difference between a service message and a marketing message?
A service message is about something the customer has already done, such as an invoice or a booking confirmation. A marketing message promotes something. Kinnow keeps the consent for each apart, and permission for one is never taken as permission for the other.
Which countries' rules does it follow?
India is the live edition, and its rule is built in. The check also carries the UAE, UK, EU, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, US and Canada rules, and uses the strictest one when a contact's country is not known. Both need clear opt-in before marketing. If the contact's country is not known, the strictest rule is used.
Can I show a regulator that someone agreed?
Yes. The consent proof screen shows the record for one address as it stood at the time, with the wording the person was shown.
Does an unsubscribe take effect straight away?
Yes. The next send to that address is blocked, and the block is recorded.
Show us a campaign list and we will show which contacts the check would stop, and why.
