Validated with each clientWhat does Consent & Deliverability Gate replace? The work of a compliance / tax executive: check consent before every marketing send. Stops any marketing message going out unless the person has given consent for that channel, with the time recorded. If consent is missing, nothing is sent and the reason is recorded.
Shows why
It shows its reasons and how sure it is on every draft. When it is not sure, it only brings the item to your attention.
Waits for you
Nothing is filed, paid or posted until a person approves it.
Gets reviewed
Every approval and correction is recorded, so you can see how it performs on your own books.
A day with the Consent & Deliverability Gate
Picture a marketing executive at a building-materials distributor who wants to send a WhatsApp offer to 1,200 dealers. This is what happens at the moment she presses send.
- She builds the audience and the campaign in Reach. Contacts come from the customer records, forms and imports. The audience can be as narrow as "dealers who bought in the last year and have not reordered".
- For every recipient, Kinnow checks consent. It looks up the consent held for that channel, that address and that purpose, and applies the rule for the recipient's country. In India a marketing message needs explicit opt-in.
- It checks the channel rules. Email needs no template. WhatsApp needs an approved template. SMS needs an approved template and a registered sender.
- It checks the sending rules. A contact held out as a control group is never sent to. Quiet hours, a limit on how often one person is messaged, and a limit on how fast the company sends can hold a message back.
- Anyone who fails is blocked and the reason is recorded. A blocked message never reaches the sending service and is never billed. Journey steps stopped only by quiet hours are delayed to the next allowed time rather than dropped.
- People can withdraw at any time. A withdrawal through the preference page is recorded straight away, even for someone with no earlier record, and later sends to that address stop. Marketing campaigns (Reach) shows how many messages were refused for consent, apart from delivery failures.
What it reads and what it hands back
The check runs inside the send itself, before the message reaches the sending service.
| What it reads | What it hands back | Where it lands |
|---|---|---|
| Consent record for the channel, address and purpose | Allowed or blocked, with the reason | The message record, including the blocked ones |
| The recipient's country rule | The level required, such as explicit opt-in or opt-out | The verdict |
| Template and sender approval | Pass or block for WhatsApp and SMS | The message record |
| Hold-out, quiet hours, frequency and speed | Send now, send later, or block | The message record |
| Withdrawals | A suppression that applies to every later send | The Consent & Preferences list |

What a person decides
The gate decides nothing on its own authority. People set the rules it applies.
- Recording consent. A person records a grant, with the wording shown at the time, or a withdrawal, from the Consent & Preferences screen. The screen can also check any address before you plan a send.
- Setting the sending rules. Your team sets quiet hours, frequency limits and hold-out groups, and approves WhatsApp and SMS templates. A company in a group can hold its own quiet hours.
- Merging contacts. When two contacts are merged and both have an answer for the same address, the stricter one is kept, so a merge can only narrow who you may message.
- What it never does. It never treats a transactional grant, such as an invoice email, as permission for marketing, and the check runs on every send. Nothing is filed, paid or posted without a person.
Ask Kinnow about consent
Ask Kinnow answers only from records you may see. Questions a marketing head might type:
- "Can I message this number on WhatsApp?" Shows the consent held for that address and channel, or says there is none.
- "How many messages were refused for consent last month?" Shows the count separately from delivery failures.
- "Show the consent proof for this email address." Shows each record with the wording the person saw and the time.
- "Who has withdrawn consent this quarter?" Lists the withdrawals, which are already blocking later sends.
Ask us to load your contact list and show what the gate would let through today.
Works with
The gate protects every campaign in Reach. It sits beside Reactivation / Winback, Campaign Strategist, Audience / Segment Reasoner and Nurture Orchestrator, and the capability Marketing that stays within consent law explains it for buyers. The glossary entry on the DPDP Act gives the Indian background.
Reactivation / Winback
Finds buyers who have gone quiet, using your ledger, and drafts a message to win them back for a person to send.
ReachCampaign Strategist
Designed to draft a campaign brief from your goal and your own data, such as gaps in your sales pipeline, customers who have gone quiet and the time of year.
ReachAudience / Segment Reasoner
Turns a brief written in plain words into a target segment, using only what the person asking is allowed to see.
ReachNurture Orchestrator
Moves each lead through the step-by-step follow-up routines you build, one step at a time, on the waits you set. It only runs routines that a person has switched on.
Questions
What does the Consent & Deliverability Gate agent do?
Stops any marketing message going out unless the person has given consent for that channel, with the time recorded. If consent is missing, nothing is sent and the reason is recorded.
What happens if consent is missing?
The send for that person is blocked and the reason is recorded. Consent itself is recorded by a person. For anything else it suggests, a person approves it before anything is posted, filed, sent or paid.
Does Consent & Deliverability Gate get better with use?
It is a fixed check, so it does not change with use. What changes is your data: every grant and withdrawal is stored with the time and the wording shown, and the next send follows it.
How is it paid for?
It is part of your agent pack. There are no per-user seats.
What happens to a customer list I import from an old system?
Contacts come in without consent records, so marketing messages to them are blocked in India until a grant is recorded. Messages about an existing transaction, such as an invoice, are treated separately.
Does it cover WhatsApp and SMS, or only email?
All three. The same consent check runs for each channel, and WhatsApp and SMS add the template and sender rules on top.
