One system to run any field team

Rosters, dispatch, routes, tracking and proof of work for drivers, guards, technicians or sales reps.

Live in part
Short answer

What does Field-Ops Engine do? Run any field workforce inside your business system, with no separate dispatch or field-service tool.

How it works

Five ready-made setups for your industry (we call them industry packs) cover transport, field sales, logistics, security and field service. Kinnow builds duty rosters and visit plans and scores them for coverage and fairness. It puts stops in an efficient order and assigns jobs by skill, deadline, cost and distance, reassigning when someone does not turn up. When a worker arrives at the right location, the form for that job opens. Live tracking flags route changes and speeding.

The detail that makes it real

An unrecognised industry falls back to a general setup and says so, so guards are never checked for driving licences.

Step by step: a day of field work

  1. Work comes in. A job is entered, imported from a sheet, or generated from a shift pattern. It can come from a customer request, an internal plan or a recurring contract.
  2. The roster is built. A supervisor picks sites, a shift pattern and a date range. Kinnow makes one piece of work for each site-day it can staff and lists the spans it could not cover, with the reason.
  3. Dispatch shows who can take the work. For each job the board lists who can take it and who cannot, with the reason: a document expired on a date, a missing permission, the wrong category of person, or a service tier not offered for that work. You assign from the list.
  4. The route is put in order. For a day with many stops, Kinnow orders them by distance so the trip is shorter. It does not yet allow for delivery time windows or seat capacity.
  5. Work is done and closed out. The worker checks in at the site and fills in the form for that kind of work. The close-out records what was done and what it produced, and it can be done only once.
  6. It goes to billing. What the job produced goes to a settlement queue, priced with your own rate card. Kinnow shows the working behind each amount, not just the total. Anything that cannot be routed is marked failed with a reason.

What you see on screen

The Field home page opens with five counts: scheduled work, people on the road, resources blocked on documents, open safety events, and outcomes waiting to settle. The other screens are:

ScreenWhat it shows
RostersShift patterns over a date range, how many pieces of work they made, and the uncovered spans
Dispatch boardWork waiting on the left; for the job you pick, who can take it and who is refused, with reasons
LiveOne position per active assignment. A person with no signal is shown as "No signal", not as idle
ExecutionsWhat was done on site, when and where, and how far from the site the worker was
SettlementCaptured outcomes on their way to the books, and a "Work it out" panel that prices a job without saving it
SafetyOpen events first, with who was notified, whether it was escalated and the Serve incident raised
CredentialsLicences and documents per person, with expiring, expired and missing flagged

The credential check is strict. An expired or missing document blocks allocation, and one that is about to expire is flagged so you can plan around it.

Who uses it

  • The operations head watches the home counts each morning and what is blocked.
  • The supervisor or scheduler builds the roster and assigns work on the dispatch board.
  • The driver, guard, technician or rep checks in, fills the form for the job and closes it out.
  • The accounts team settles the outcomes that arrive from the field.

Questions

What is Field-Ops Engine in Kinnow?

Rosters, dispatch, routes, tracking and proof of work for drivers, guards, technicians or sales reps.

What changes for the business?

Run any field workforce inside your business system, with no separate dispatch or field-service tool.

Is it available today?

It is live in part: the core is built and parts are completing with early customers.

What happens to a worker whose licence has expired?

Kinnow will not allocate them. The dispatch board shows them as refused, with the document name and the date it expired. A document that is about to expire is flagged in advance.

Is there a driver app?

Check-in and close-out are available on the web screens. A separate Kinnow field app for drivers and technicians is not built, so a close-out that needs something only a handset can capture cannot be completed yet.
