Short answer

What does The Day do? Silence never sends a notification. Kinnow is where the stalled deal shows up by itself.

How it works

One daily list across email, chat and meetings, in three parts. Ahead: meetings and items with due dates. Arrived: what came in, newest first. Still out: everything you sent that hasn't been answered, longest silence first, like the unsigned contract or the quote that went quiet. Empty sections explain why.

The detail that makes it real

Silence creates no alert, so inboxes and notifications can't see it. The 'Still out' list is built to catch exactly that.

Step by step

  1. Things in motion are recorded as they happen. Quotes, contracts sent for signature, messages and meetings appear as rows, each with the person on your team who owns it.
  2. Each morning the Day sorts them into three parts. Ahead, Arrived and Still out. Ahead matters most at six in the morning, Arrived by mid-afternoon.
  3. Ahead lists what is coming. Meetings and items with due dates, the nearest first.
  4. Arrived lists what came in. It reaches back about 18 hours, so a busy evening still shows up the next morning. Newest first.
  5. Still out lists what is waiting on someone else. The longest silence comes first, for example an unsigned contract or a quote nobody has answered.
  6. You act from the row. Open the row to see the record behind it and decide what to do. The Home screen carries a one-line version, "Still waiting on someone", with how many days each item has gone without a reply.

Ask us to show the Day on a sample of your own quotes and contracts.

What you see on screen

Every row is laid out the same way, so you can scan it quickly:

Part of the rowWhat it tells you
Who on your teamThe person who owns the item.
Who it is withThe customer, supplier or colleague on the other side.
What it is and its stateFor example a quote sent, an envelope opened, a meeting booked.
The clockHow long since, or how long until, a person last acted.
Who holds it nowWhose move it is.

Each part shows a count and its first item, for example "3 with no reply yet, longest is the Sharma quote".

Who uses it

  • Owner or sales head: a two-minute look each morning at what has gone quiet.
  • Accounts head: unsigned contracts and unanswered payment reminders.
  • Executive assistants: meetings ahead and who has not replied.

About 18 hours, so a late evening is still visible the next morning without turning the Day into a week-long log.

Is the Day the same as my to-do list?

No. Your to-do list is on Home under Needs you. The Day shows what is happening whether or not it needs you, mostly things waiting on people outside your team.
