How it works
A conversation can sit on a record, sit under a topic, or stay private. When you start a topic, Kinnow checks for near-duplicates, including in Hindi, so channels do not multiply. A topic page opens with its decisions, not its latest message. Private chats can be seen only by the people in them, not by administrators, and not by an AI agent working for someone outside the chat. Moving one onto a record needs your confirmation and is marked.
A hidden thread and a missing thread get the same answer, because saying 'you can't see it' would confirm that it exists.
Step by step
Here is a week in a trading company where the sales head, the finance head and two branch managers keep coming back to the same questions.
- Someone starts a conversation. From the Talk screen they choose one of three kinds: about a record, on a standing topic, or private with named people. Kinnow offers the choice and never files it for them.
- They pick a topic, if it is a topic. The sales head types 'Discount bands'. Before the topic is created, Kinnow compares the name with the existing ones, in Hindi as well as English. An identical name is refused. A close one is shown, with how many people follow it, so the person can use that instead.
- For a private chat, they pick the people. Kinnow checks, before anything is sent, whether each person can take part, and shows the reason if not. The group is fixed at the start. To add someone later, you start a new conversation.
- People talk and decide. Corrections to a message are added beneath it and the original stays visible. When someone decides, the decision is recorded with who decided it and when.
- The topic page opens on decisions. A new joiner opening 'Discount bands' reads what was settled first, then the conversations still open. The latest message is not the first thing they see.
- A private chat can move onto a record or topic. Only a participant can do it, and Kinnow asks them to confirm that everyone who can see the destination will read the whole history. After the move, the decision it produced carries a note that it began in a private conversation.

Can an administrator read a private conversation?
No. A private conversation is visible only to the people in it. Not an administrator, not Kinnow's support console, and not an AI agent acting for someone outside the conversation.
What if a topic already exists with a similar name?
Kinnow shows the close matches and how many people follow each, so you can use one. You can still create yours. An identical name is refused.
