One secure home for company documents

Every company gets a document store with proper controls: no duplicates, every access logged, shares you can revoke.

Short answer

What does Vault (Signals → Vault → Compose) do? One trusted place for contracts and documents, with AI answers that respect exactly who may see what.

How it works

The document store is always included, whatever you buy. Duplicate files are stored once, and scans are read by a text-reading service your data-location policy allows. Viewing and downloading are logged separately. You can revoke share links and place legal holds. Email and drives are connected for reading only. Built-in e-signature is unlimited.

The detail that makes it real

Files over your storage limit are never quietly deleted, and built-in e-signature is unlimited on every plan.

  • Even a count can give something away, so 'we have 3 documents about Acme' is withheld from someone who cannot open them.

Step by step

  1. A document arrives. It is uploaded, saved automatically when Kinnow creates it (such as an invoice), or read in from connected email and drives, which are read-only. The document types saved automatically are a setting you control, with a few audit-grade types on by default.
  2. Identical files are stored once. Kinnow compares the content of the file within your company's account only, never across companies, so the same bytes are not stored twice.
  3. Scanned and image files are read. A text-reading service turns them into text, within your data-location choice, so search and Ask Kinnow can use them. Files that cannot be read are listed by name rather than quietly missing.
  4. Visibility is set. A new file is personal to its owner by default. The owner or an admin can widen it to named people, to the company, or to the whole group. Legal, board and HR documents that Kinnow files itself start closed.
  5. People open, download and share. Viewing and downloading are logged separately. A file can be set to view-only, so it opens inside Kinnow with no download. Share links can be revoked, and a document can be put on legal hold, which stops it being deleted.
  6. Ask Kinnow answers only from what the asker may see. An answer never crosses a boundary the person asking could not cross. The count of matching documents is held back too, if they cannot open them.
