Short answer

What does The three doors do? Marketing campaigns (Reach) the shared services without learning their names or hunting through menus.

How it works

There are three places to start. On a record: a Discuss button on sales invoices, purchase bills and leases opens a conversation attached to it. On a person: click a name, where it is wired. Anywhere else: a command bar with a short list of things to start, such as a message, a question or a signature. An action your role may not use does not appear, so there are no greyed-out buttons or upsell prompts in the middle of a task.

The detail that makes it real

The Discuss button, the command bar and its short list are in use. Clicking a name opens that person's card at the room, requisitions and metric governance screens, and is being extended to the rest.

Step by step

Here is how a finance executive in a distribution company uses it while chasing an overdue invoice.

  1. Start on the record. They open the overdue sales invoice. The invoice page carries a Discuss button.
  2. Press Discuss. A conversation opens already attached to that invoice. Nobody pastes a link or explains which invoice it is about.
  3. Click a name for the person. Clicking a colleague's name, such as the sales rep who owns the account, opens a card for that person. This works at the room, requisitions and metric governance screens today, and is being extended to the rest.
  4. Or start from anywhere else. In the command bar they ask or start something in plain words. A short list of things to start, such as a message, a question or a signature, sits beside the bar for people who prefer not to type.
  5. Actions your role may not use are simply not there. If your role may not use an action, it does not appear. There is no greyed-out button and no upgrade prompt in the middle of a task.

Ask us to show you the Discuss button on an invoice, a bill and a lease in your own account.
